As a feller with large feet and a history involving some plantar fasciitis, I have found that the room to comfortably stand flat on the mission, giving my arches a break (no avoiding that pun), is top notch for extending my sits. For instance, when it’s time for a snack, I’ll pivot my back to the tree, tucking behind/under my bridge/tether. Both feet comfortably flat for a few minutes while I have a drink or a snack gives the ol dogs the relief they need to stay focused on the situation around me rather than any pedal discomfort. I’d love to get a little lighter, of course, but I can’t imagine sacrificing the real estate I have for comfortable foot placement on the mission. Big dude, big feet, big platform. All day.
Been hunting out of stands all my life but this is my first saddle. I was concerned with my comfort level in a saddle but so far so good with this new elevated hunting method. The Trophyline saddle is well made. Quality materials and stitching seem well done. I was impressed enough to also order a CAYS and Platow pack, also quality hunting gear. Very pleased with Trophyline products . It’s going to be a long wait till October. Happy hunting!
Really like this as an option to a backpack. A ton of zippered compartments to keep your field items organized.

Love the way the saddle feels shipping. Also is super fast ordered on a Wednesday night. Got it Friday by noon. This is my second saddle by trophy line.my first was the COVERT LITE 2.0 SADDLE KIT I let my buddy try it out cause he wanted to get into saddle hunting. He offered to buy it off me so I sold it to him and put the money towards this kit and I couldn’t be happier.
This platform was surreal to hold when I got it in the mail. It’s amazing to think a metal platform can weigh so little, but bite into the tree just the same. Much different than Carbon composite platforms on the market. Can’t wait for this season!
Functionally they are awesome. I just don't like the color. Having red on the insignia was a instant magic marker black out.
I love everything about this headlamp except the battery life. It has left me in the dark more times than not, I only use the red light setting and I’m lucky to get 20min of run time out of it. Look elsewhere if you are looking for a reliable head lamp to get you in and out of the woods.
Just ordered this pack and a Covert 2.0 saddle kit. Had a Visa gift card I wanted to use towards this purchase but wasn’t sure how to go about it. I used the messaging link on the trophyline site and got an immediate response from Jeff. After going back and forth for a bit with him he apologized that he couldn’t go into more details to help me as he was driving while messaging me. That is above and beyond customer service. Especially on a weekend. Can’t wait to try these out and get used to using them. Only bad thing is season doesn’t start until 10/1. These sticks are awesome! They stack so tight it’s like you’re only packing 2 sticks! I give them 10/10 I will be ordering the hyper lite platform soon!
The quality of fabric is nice and design is decent but the fit and the wearing of the harness is terrible. with the straps and where it sits on your back and body and how it doesn’t stay close to the chest. And it naturally leans away from the body. It sits too high on the chest and too high on the back. Wore it for about an hour at an archery shoot and it had to come off.
I disliked it so much I gave it away to someone. I’ll be purchasing a marsupial gear one next.
I wanted to try a smaller platform as a second option to my Mission platform, I'm am so happy with the Mission platform and how solid it is I went back to Trophyline brand and bought an EDP platform. First, for a smaller and lighter platform it , like the Mission, it is rock solid and holds on to the tree like it’s bolted to the tree. I like having the smaller platform option for quick hunts and the EDP fill that requirement nicely.
Just getting into saddle hunting in January this year my first platform was the Mission platform. It is a nice size, especially for someone coming from tree stands. With the Mission I am not limited to shots or positions, I can easily maneuver into any position safely because of the room. Once I got the Mission platform I noticed that it wasn’t as large as many pictures make it look. Rock solid.
First off shipping was amazing. Ordered and received it in two days. I’m new to saddle hunting so I didn’t want to spend a fortune to start out. I can already tell from sitting in it, it’s going to be an awesome setup. Very comfortable and I felt secure while in it. Can’t wait for Fall to really put it to the test.
This kit is built for comfort, not the lightest platform or sticks on the market but fairly priced and rock solid. Rounded edges on the platform might be my favorite! Def get the upgraded knee pads and swing for some rope man ascenders if possible.
I'm new to saddle hunting but I can give you my two cents on it thus far. The saddle is well made and just as advertised. It's a bit uncomfortable for a long sit so far. I've heard others say you get use to it the more you use it. I'm a 6'4" 255 lbs guy. So it could be this way just for my body type. The saddle pulls inward on my hips a lot. I may be able to rig something up that keeps it from collapsing in so much but haven't at the time of this post. However I am satisfied with this and would still recommend it for smaller framed hunters. At least smaller than me.
The Hyperlite platform is incredibly light and is as solid as the EDP. Another great product by Trophyline.
This thing is great for turkey hunting if you're going to run and gun those birds!
