The Platow Pack

Overall I love this pack. I’m still trying to figure out wearing it over my saddle while waking in. It pushes down on the top of my saddle even though I’m wearing suspenders to hold up my saddle.,it has plenty of pocket room and I only need a
Smidgen of the space allowed. I will probably use this pack until I hit that place where I just start ground hunting. I love the straps on the bottom for carrying my sticks. I do worry about the material getting worm from the steps digging into it.

When I first got this I was going to use it as a scout/hunt pack. Once I started to put my gear in I realized it’s bigger than I thought. I’ve been using the tethrd pack and I can get everything I had in it in this pack. With the straps on top and bottom I can carry an extra layer of clothing if needed. I like the fact that it being a fanny pack my back isn’t sweaty when I get where I’m going in the early season. I will be using this much more than a scout/hunt pack. The price point of this pack makes it a great value. My nephew is thinking real hard about getting one his self

This has made life so much easier, especially since switching to the one stick method (though I have used it with 4 sticks and a platform). Love it, easy to access while climbing and hunting, and tons of storage and molle for attachments.

only used it a few times so far, but it is a massive upgrade from what I was using. sticks and platform weight are far better distributed over my back, making for a very easy carrying load. hip and waist belt wings are a little stiff and could use a bit more padding in my opinion. strap buckles on entire bag have a very steep angle and bite on the strap, kind of hard to adjust, but they have not slipped at all. I imagine they will get easier with time as the strap softens up with use. time will tell how the rest of it handles abuse and brush busting.
