Trophyline Tree Saddle™ Inspections & Saddle Retirement

  • It is very important that your Tree Saddle, ropes, and carabiners be in good working condition.
  • Before and after every use, inspect your Tree Saddle, ropes, prusiks, and carabiners.
  • Retire your saddle immediately if you can see any holes, tear in fabric, webbing, or thread.
  • Retire your Tree Saddle immediately if you see any heavy abrasions.
  • Retire your Tree Saddle immediately if you see any of the buckles has a burr, has corroded, cracked, or is damaged in any way.
  • Retire your Tree Saddle if it looks faded or discolored from leaving it out in Ultraviolet Light.
  • Your Tree Saddle comes with a sewn on Warning label. This label pertains the model name, model number, manufacture date (example: Aug 2019), weight capacity: 300lbs, and size. Your Tree Saddle has an expiration date of 5 years from the manufacture date. Retire your Tree Saddle immediately when it is older than 5 years. Failure to do so could cause serious injury or death.
  • Any damaged Tree Saddle, ropes, or carabiners must be retired immediately. You should always destroy a retired Tree Saddle, rope, or carabiner.
  • Any time you have fallen in your Tree Saddle you must retire the Tree Saddle, rope, and carabiners.
  • Any time you have dropped a carabiner you must retire it.
  • All ropes, prusiks, and carabiners should be replaced every 2 years.
  • Inspect saddle, ropes, prusiks, and carabiners before every use. We recommend that you retire and replace any or all if you notice any excessive discoloration, fraying, cuts, abrasions, or holes.
