Sumpter Frame Pack

Finally, the frame pack of a whitetail hunter’s dream…The Sumpter pack was designed for remote access mobile hunting. Designed from the popular base of our C.A.Y.S Pack, the Sumpter expands it’s use beyond a saddle hunting pack with a sturdy ultralight internal aluminum frame. This provides a more sturdy platform to haul saddle hunting gear in, and meat out! Besides offering a rifle/bow scabbard, the pack contains aMeat Sling that deploys up and over the pack offering a shelf to haul with. Comfort was a top priority in this pack’s build, with an adjustable torso length (16-19”) and a solid one-piece breathable back panel. The pack is a solid choice for filming hunts or western day hunts, offering 19 total pockets, camera arm/tripod sleeves, and 2600 total cubic inches of space. Great frame Pack

I used it all year. Best for walking all the back onto public land. It can carry an insane amount of gear while keeping it comfortable on your back.

Great looking pack

I am primarily a bow hunt whitetail deer in Minnesota but travel to Montana to do spot-and-stock antelope and mule deer hunts in Montana. This is the most versatile pack I've found allowing me to transport my saddle, sticks, and bowhunting gear for most of my hunts, but it will still allow me to pack my western hunting gear and be able to pack out half of an antelope (or a whole one boned-out). I would have preferred if the pack came in a camo version, and the buckles don't seem to be the highest quality, but overall this will be my new go-to hunting pack.

Best small framed backpack for hauling meat out of the woods

I purchased he Sumpter Pack after struggling to carry my deer meat for 4.5 miles. A small framed backpack is the way to go. The sumpter Pack is rugged and includes a meat sling for hind legs, etc. plenty of space for my platform, ropes, and sticks.

Dang good pack!

I’ve taken this pack hunting once so far and didn’t get to haul a deer out with it.

So I can’t comment on that particular capability. Literally every other part is a home run. It held my one stick and the onyx like a dream. All my filming gear. My saddle. You name it. Plus water and other things.

It’s also been great for post season scouting!

I’d like to see some slight modifications on the load carrying (meat) but honestly this is a darn good pack.

I saddle hunted for the first time in 2022. All of my Trophyline equipment performed well as advertised. The TL Sumpter pack purchase concerned me the most though. I can say now that it might be the best & most important equipment I purchased in 22. I was considering the Cays until right when the Sumpter first came out. I wasn't a fan of the weight but I thought I could deal with it as long as it performed well. The Sumpter pack exceeded my expectations. My edp and mini sticks pack nicely on it, I don't have a problem with noise. I had concerns about the top grab handle's longevity but it held up nicely and doesn't show any wear despite hanging on a gear strap for hours while hunting. I don't use or plan to use the meat sling feature, I simply wanted a sturdy backpack. It just carries the gear incredibly well once loaded and on your shoulders. I cinch the shoulder straps down snug and it carries great. I packed my hunting clothes in the large compartment and then only carried my weapon in my hands. I love all the compartments for organization. The Sumpter is another top quality product from Trophyline.
