Sticks are great! They are solid on the tree and no issues climbing them in winter conditions. (Im 6’1, 250lbs size 12 boot).
I run a 3 step amsteel aider at 20” per step on the first stick then have a canvas 2 step aider at 17” per step that can go on another stick if needed but I generally do not need to go too high for the area im in.
Hate they are sold out but love the pouch. Works as should and keeps this mostly dry and organized.
This pack is really big, bigger than I expected. Pro’s, very well made, love the pocket for platform and has plenty of straps. Shoulder straps are super comfortable. Con’s, I would prefer more pockets, this pack has 1 small pocket, 1 huge middle pocket and 2 side pouches. Lastly, no waist strap. I wanted the Cays 2.0 but its been out of stock for some time and looked like it would be a bit longer before they are back in stock. I bought this pack on sale and would not have purchased at $149.99, feel like theres better options out there.
Seems very well made. Like the front pocket as well. Gave a 4 star because the elastic around the hand inserts is really tight and hard to get your hands in even without gloves. It is warm and comfortable so I will more than likely cut the elastic and give it a go.
