The hyperlite stick and platform is an awesome light combo and I love it.
The light weight aspect is crazy compared to the mission. The teeth to bite in well and this platform feels solid enough up in the trees. As others have stated, it does squeak, but only under more aggressive side use. The design does have a tuning-fork resonance and ring if struck. Im thinking some rubber dampers might fix that. The vertical section got wrapped on silencing tape, and the edges of the foot platform does well wrapped in camo-form tape. It was a little harder to initially hang this platform compared to the mission. Im using the cam strap supplied so far.
The mission platform is solid with easy use, with weight and size being the cons.
This platform is the opposite being easier to carry, but with some quirks.
This platform is light enough to add to the pack when i carry the mission. Im using it now as an additional step around larger trees.
The design does not bite in nor feel as solid as the mission, but on its own it is a great option. The mission is just a home run kind of option, if youre not needing to carry it all day. I want to try the hyperlight sticks next.
This platform has held up well. It takes slealth strips nicely and is very quiet. No creaking so far and levels well. The teeth bite into the tree very very well and make it very secure. They need to re-design the knob for attaching the strap or rope though. The hole in the middle for running amsteel through is too small and needs to just be looped over the button. The grooves in the button are also not deep enough to use a traditional cam strip without it being very close to being able to slide out of the groove and come off the tree. The edges around the button are also quite sharp and need chamfered to reduce the ability to cut and wear on straps and ropes over time. It is very light and good quality, but if you just tweak that button to be bigger and make it a few ounces lighter, this would be a lights out platform
This thing is badass...been playing with it in the yard. Cut more than 2/3 the weight of the small Bear River tree stand I've used for years. Really looking forward to using it the
