Love it. I use it to hold my bridge while I’m walking through thick woods. It keeps my bridge from getting caught in vines, thorns, etc..
I had pretty high hopes for these knee pads. I upgraded from a cheaper Home Depot set I had been using for a while, to these. I figured buying knee pads specifically made by a saddle hunting company would have been more satisfactory than these were.
For starters, the straps are incredibly small. The thigh strap is essentially useless due to is size. I am not a small man by any means, but I am also not gigantic enough to where these should be as small as they are. My last sit, I had one pair of base layer long John’s and a slightly insulated pair of pants and I had to max out the adjustment straps. With them maxed out, they were still incredibly tight. It would be impossible for me to wear a pair of bibs for a super cold late season sit.
Even with these being as tight as they are, they tend to feel sloppy somehow. They don’t tend to sit straight on my knees and like to roll off to the sides.
I have worn them for a few sits, hoping they would grow on me. So far they haven’t, which is disappointing as I was excited for these.
With all that, they do appear to be well built. They seem sturdy and like they will last a while. They also are quiet and I do like the softer rubber outer shell of the pad. They also stack together quite well for packing in.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend them unless you are as skinny as a bean pole. If you happen to be built that way, then I’d say it’s a decent set of knee pads.
Bought this for my son for Christmas. So far he loves it the comfort of saddle and sturdiness of sticks and platform.
Love it I use it every hunt as a tether clip in. Only thing idon't like is sometimes it rolls off my finger and slams shut which makes noise but that is on me. Other than that would buy it again.
