Got to use them for to first time a few days ago and they are great! Less fumbling with straps and more climbing. No metal buckles to clang around makes for a dangerously stealthy setup. Still very new to saddle hunting so I was hesitant to start buying upgrades but I don’t regret upgrading the straps.
The onyx fits great. The pack is wide and slips off your shoulders when walking on steep terrain if chest band isn’t clipped. Has only 1 massive pocket inside and no real way to separate things which makes grabbing stuff out a bit of a challenge. On sale.. great purchase, full price… I’d be a tad disappointed.
